Inspired Fun Coach – Lori Cloninger Sweeney

The Fun Coach

Lori Cloninger Sweeney has worked in development for almost 30 years with experiences ranging from her undergraduate alma mater, Whitworth University, to Claremont McKenna College to a prep school in Brentwood, California, to Oregon State and OHSU Foundations, and now with Providence Foundations of Oregon. Lori holds a M.Ed. from UCLA.

Lori has raised major and principal gifts, typically at least $5 million per year, makes visits to one-third of the qualification prospects she is assigned each year and invites almost every donor prospect she visits to consider a bequest. She is a native Oregonian who knows the broad landscape of fundraising in this region and is enthusiastic about development. She is the proud (and harried) mother of a college-age son and married to Jeff, who helps her keep balance in her life.

Lori really encourages creativity in all facets of fundraising. Donors really do embrace uniqueness and appreciate the effort the fundraiser takes. This collage is a fun way to capture core values, interests and reasons for gratitude.  (Click collage to enlarge)
